I didn’t get a single tomato this year. Bought one of those upside-down hanging planters and planted three slicer varieties and one beefsteak, fresh topsoil mixed with peat moss, mixed in some organic hen manure fertilizer that’s supposed to be rich in calcium (which tomatoes are supposedly need), hung it in a sunny spot from our balcony ceiling, and watered it almost daily. Plants seemed to grow very well but all my fruit came down with blossom end rot. My cheeseburgers are left tomato-less again…
Arrrghhh.

Try a variety called Arctic mix or Arctic hybrid (I think). I’ve had more success with this variety than any other by far!
Maybe it is sub-Arctic. I’ll have to check.
