It had to be cleaning fastidiously every day and she could put make-up in the area around the perforation. Her skin was looking a little blue immediately under the metal and I STRONGLY suggested that she see about it - meaning that she should go to a Doctor. Of course, she didn't do exactly that but did go back to Silverline to have the piercer look at it. Sure enough, Torii has a good immunity system happening in her teen body and it was rejecting the metal. The piercer took it out and the kids should have a scar. Now if she would only get rid of the tongue piercing... Major points to mention to the potential "piercee": 1) They really hurt 2) Big hassle to maintain. Much as I'm enjoying not having snow and sub-zero temperatures, it would be nice if days like Friday weren't the exception when it's supposed to be summer. We only get a few weeks of "summer", so you'd think it could at least be hot, hot, hot so that by the time September rolls around we're looking forward to cooler weather.
