Humankind now has more intelligence than centuries past... In one 0.01% "sense" I "admire" the Catholic Church from not "becoming a trendy reflection of society" - after all, a trend of society does not reflect/indicate/appreciate a traditional Christian God.... But, during my studies, I was "expected to assume" that what was taught was the "objective truth".... YEAH RIGHT! My creator gave me intelligence (along with other "hard life stuff" - which I need to learn from....) But I don't think that my creator would "take me for a fool" - as I believe, I am an appreciative, intelligent, human being, whom "he" created...) BUT NO, traditional "Catholic"/"Papist" views would assume that I would, LITERALLY, believe/assume that "Communion Wine" IS ACTUALLY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST,and the same applies to "Communion Bread"... HELLO?! HELLO?! Leaders of the Catholic Church, do you HONESTLY believe that Christians still think "along the same lines" of, at least, 500 years ago? NAH - BUT IT'S EASIER TO KEEP QUIET EH? YA MIGHT BECOME A CARDINAL/POPE ETC. YAWN, YAWN.... I admire the works of HANS KUNG and CARL BARTH..... As a former student studying for the Catholic Priesthood, I now wonder how I was sooo naive….

They want people to have sex only within a sanctified marriage for the purposed of procreation. Their postion is that the advent of readily accessible birth control started us all on the road to unholy promiscuity so if they take away all forms of birth control and STD protection, we'll all be too scared to fuck around. Nice thought, but history should tell them that that ain't gonna happen. Well, they actually don’t want anyone to fuck around at all. On the other hand, it's also a really sad statement on humanity that we are too freakin' stupid to stop doing stuff that's going to kill us. Bad enough that we keep snarfing down the Big Macs and sucking nicotine into our lungs - now we don't even have the self-discipline/control to not fuck around without protection?
