It's all based on the premise that the electorate isn't really paying close attention - and it's a pretty solid premise!
The CPC know where there be issues and where there ain't... and they know that the toys on the lawn will convey the "everyman" image throughout the campaign but denying the Greens a place in the debate will only be in the news briefly.
They have LOTS of money and have spent it wisely on some pretty good (if not slimy) strategists - likely "borrowed" from the Republicans.

What bothers me is the amount of people taht get sucked into the gimmicks and BS. I mean that ridiculous photo op he had at a "real" family's house in BC yesterday? Give me a break.

Then he has the gaul to stand up and say that he won't go to a debate if the Greens are there because he thinks the May might support Dion down the road.

If he gets elected I am convinced Canadians are going the same way as the Americans: believing whatever the establishment tells them rahter than looking at what is really going on.

As reported on the CBC :

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said it would be unfair to allow May to join the other leaders on the national stage because she is too closely tied to the Liberals.

"Ms. May is basically presenting the same positions as Mr. Dion and she supports Mr. Dion as Liberal leader," Harper said while campaigning in Richmond, B.C. "I don't think that's fair to the other parties."

Harper added he suspects May will officially endorse Dion by the end of the campaign.

So - once again Stevie is bastardizing and holding contempt for the democratic process.

Sad that this joker is still around - but emphasizing why we must ensure that he does NOT gain full control.

I am appalled, but not surprised, that would be leaders of Canada are too small minded and afraid to include Ms. May in the National Debate. Harper talks but every time he walks his true colors ooze.

Beware Of The Neocons

Beware of the Neocons

Play for full power,

Canadian Conservatives

Come calling this hour,

Steeped in deception

Like Satin in satin,

Smiling and praying

An unknown Latin,

Google Leo Strauss

The NCC led by Harper,

Think for yourself

I know you are sharper.
