A person complains about having to pay school taxes even thought they no kids of their own. However, it is for the common good of the society of which they are a part that all contribute to the school system. Our supply of doctors, police officers, architects, etc., etc., depend on a well-funded education system.<br/><br/>The "landowners" do not want to abide by some of the rules that are agreed upon by the majority even if these rules are in the name of the commmon good (e.g., firearms restrictions). For whatever reason, they feel themselves to be isolated and victimized by the majority and the knee-jerk reaction is to drive tractors down the 417 in protest.<br/><br/>And common good be damned. It means that everyone gets what the majority wants. In this case, the Landowners appear to be in the minority since they're complaining about something.
